I have struggled with stress and insomnia for very long. I have tried many things, with more or less success, and sophrotherapy is the last one. I decided to try because Lety was recommended to me by friends and seemed like a very honest, reasonable person. She talks enthusiastically about sophrotherapy, while staying very feet-on-the ground. I have understood after some time with her that she is indeed a person with a good global view and understanding, serious at work, and very committed to her clients. She has a scientific approach to treatment and the way she understands sophrotherapy, and as I am not a mystic person, so this was key for me to decide to try.
What makes sophrotherapy work for me is that, unlike mindfulness (which I would like to master, but seems still to be out of reach for me), it combines some active movement techniques which helped me relax my neck and shoulders, where I accumulate all the tension, and makes the meditation that follows easier. If you are like me, and making your mind quiet is quite complicated, this may be for you! When I do a session, I feel the effects straight away. I go home with a quiet mind, and a wellness feeling, relaxed and calm. I sleep noticeably better at night. Lety moreover provides materials to practise throughout the week, and she designs a plan depending on her client’s needs.
